Herpes outbreak question! Please!

It was recently discovered that I have genital herpes, and that my “ingrown hair” that I got every few months was actually a herpes bump. I’m saddened and extremely confused with everything but, I’m more confused as to why my outbreak suddenly got worse? Everything I’ve read and everything I’ve been told was that as time goes on, outbreaks don’t last as long and you don’t get as many sores. I’ve only ever had one bump at a time for the past couple years that I’ve unknowingly had herpes (I thought it was an ingrown hair), and now all the sudden my Outbreak is severe and there’s 6-7 bumps and it’s already been almost 2 weeks and they still aren’t healed. What would cause such a sudden, terrible ob? And how can I prevent another one? It’s so painful and I have to chase around a 1 year old all day.. please help me.

sounds silly but i think there is a mental side to herpes! i would be over thinking and worrying if every thing i felt or did to down there would cause a outbreak! i thought about it contantly and think it caused alot!!

    suppressive therapy will help.

herpes outbreaks happen because of stress too, so it could be that or eating more unhealthy after receiving the news
