really hoping someone can help me here. i recenlty did a full panel std check and everything came back negative except for herpes type two with an igg of 1.92. they did supplemental testing and it was negative... im still very worried. at this point i dont even want to have sex anymore its not worth the stress. i have no symptoms of this...

hey, i think youre going to be fine. everyone is going to text positive because majority of us carry it in out bodies. no syptoms no worrys just make sure to wear protection. if it makes you feel uncomfortable then you can share your status and see of they care. i have a great sex life with herpes. so even if you are a true positive nothing to wprry about.

ugh tthis is literally what im going through right now, tested positive for just hsv2 but the doctors did not give me information on the count and while one said it couldve been a false positive the other (who was not with me when i took the test, she was just a dpctor kn the phone) said that the blood test is completely accurate regardless of what the other doctor said... out of everything on the panel i tested negative for as well besides hsv2

hey!so im gonna get another blood test in a couple of weeks and see if my antibodies go up. if i were you id make sure they do supplemental testing in reault of a low postive, i know lab corp does this. the cdc doesnt even reccomend screening people who dont have symtoms because of the rate of false postives

whats concerning for me is that in my case the doctor diagnosed me but did not give me any numbers... im paranoid that other doctors will see that so im obligated now to test more if that makes sense? im so scared. ill look into supplemental testing for sure... thank you so much for your response
i was aware of the cdc warning against testing if you dont have any symptoms but when i took the std test (i have been having pelvic pain for all my life and i was immensely paranoid as ive never been to a doctor in my adult life until then) the panel included hsv2

look up std check. com you can order your own test through them. i wouldnt worry. i say that but im worrying as well haha

you have the right to the test results. simply call them and say youd like them to release that info to you. done deal.

Take a western blot test. If that comes back negative then you are definitely in the clear. the count you have still may fall under a false positive. i think its usually like 5.0 and above

what is your opinion on a 0.93 hsv1 result post 16 weeks?

thats pretty low, i wouldnt worry too much about hsv1 literally like 70 percent of the world has it
