Herpes test negative, still concerned

Posted , 5 users are following.

So I got tested for herpes 12 weeks after my first symptoms. They used an IgG test and it came back negative for both types. I thought I was fine because the lesions I had didn't really look like herpes. But last week i had the same white lesions again and now I am a bit concerned. Do you think I did the test too early? Hope anyone can help me with this because I have no idea what I should do. 😦

Yes I have a picture but every time I try to upload it, it says that the file size is too big.

did they swab the lesions? i got blood tested in march and came back negative for both types but ive recently been experiencing symptoms and lesions which i just went to get swabbed. i havent gotten my results back yet but im curious to see what your lesions look like. i think your best bet is to get tested specifically for herpes and get the lesions swabbed.

I'll try to upload the photo later with my laptop. But did I test too early after 12 weeks? Is the blood test even accurate?

Unfortunately I didn't have them swabbed.
