So, typically with genital HSV1, youll have LESS FREQUENT outbreaks. And thats typically, doesnt mean always.

You can go to any doctor and just tell them you were diagnosed with genital HSV1 and youre having an outbreak and would like antivirals.

As your body builds antibodies, youll likely get less frequent ourbreaks as well.

another option, depending on the frequency, is to take daily antivirals to help suppress the virus, which is what i do.

i have genital HSV2, and have had 3 outbreaks in under 2 months, so i went with daily medication to help lower the frequency of my outbreaks.

Its not uncommon to have more than one outbreak with genital HSV1.

I called my pharmacy and looks like my doc gave me 3 refills of the antivirals. So I will be following the bottle until its empty....

The time of my first outbreak, i felt like the antivirals did NOTHING for me,, but putting NEOSPORIN and HEAT PACKS on my genital area helped me recover so much faster.

I hope i dont suffer from more than a few a year - im very sensitive to medicine and allergic to multiple different kinds.... this sucks!!!

i hope it heals quickly! luckily, the outbreaks rarely get worse!

my second outbreak was so much quicker and easier than my first.

The antivirals just help speed up recovery. It usually takes 2+ weeks to heal without them.

It really depends on you individually. A outbreak will usually occur when its triggered eg. low immunity, stress, poor diet ect.

But as its still only with you a few months your body is more then likely trying to build its self up against it. I was told by a specialist that sometimes the body will allow the virus to act in order to get stronger against it.

Usually hsv1 doesnt occour as often as hsv2 genitally and the shedding rate is said to be less. But you could expect to have another outbreak.

Would it be okay if i messaged you with good things to check out on other media platforms 😃
