HERPES - when to see a doctor

Posted , 4 users are following.

i was diagnosed 3 years ago whilst having a horrible outbreak and am now suffering my second outbreak which seems even worse than the first.

im taking anti viral meds ibubrufen and using lidocaine but one week in i think i feel even worse! everything has swollen horribly today making the pain worse. do i need to see a doctor?

this is the worst ive ever felt in my life and i struggle so much with the emotional side of this awful illness. im late 40's and only ever had two partners both long term

have you tried taking any lysine along with your antivirals? its a supplement you can buy over the counter. my sores took a total of about 12 days before i felt better with my first outbreak..

how lucky to be having only your second outbreak! do you take suppressive therapy? i just got diagnosed in august and just had what i think was a second outbreak. i only got itchy and red for a few days and never any blisters or sores. this is with my taking suppressive therapy, lysine, immune booster and vitamin b for nerve health.

i havent heard of it before but ill look it up thank you.

i say its my second but ive thought several times over the past 3 years that im having one but its been how you described. this outbreak is absolutely horrific and worse than the first.

ive literally felt like i cant carry on. its made me doubt the other outbreaks now.

im seriously considering private supressive therapy due to the affect it has emotionally
