hey guys dealing with another round of anxiety i have spoken to GP i have a therapist of my own and i have the GP one starting at the end of the month. since the last anxiety i have been exercising quite frequently. this round threw me a loop with agoraphobia so its been tricker to continue but im trying. i have looked up supplements that can help and have been taking decently regularly and meds are a possible but i have to wait for GP therapy to begin. Some days i feel like just "giving up" in the worst way but im only 33 i feel like i should have more life to live. So i guess im just asking for words of support and encouragement or wisdom etc please!

    Hi Jerome,

Why are you having to wait for meds? I've felt like giving up before too, when the feelings are never-ending. I'd speak to your family and friends too if you haven't already, you'd be surprised at how many are suffering too. And push for those meds.

    Good luck.

    Jerome, don't despair!

Nothing lasts forever, not the good things, not the bad ones.

I have had agoraphobia, panic attacks, health anxiety...you name it.

You need to remember that, even though it might not feel like it now, this too shall pass.

Don't be hard on yourself, allow yourself time to recover, speak to yourself as you would to a best friend, you would tell them that little by little you will get better.

I spent months without leaving my house, MONTHS, now I travel all over the place. I still have anxiety, but it doesn't stop me.

You can come on here to vent and you will have us to help from people who understand.

Don't fight it though, what you resist, persists.

Acceptance is key, accept that for the moment you are like this, by accepting you are not adding more fuel to the fire.

If you practice self-care and acceptance you will get better. Wishing you all the best!
