Hi,

i'm new & am 40yr old female from Zimbabwe Africa. I have one external protruding pile from my anus & I don't know what to do. I'ts not painful, no bleeding but i hate the way it's been sticking out for the past 20years. Sometimes when i use the toilet it feels like there is still something wanting to come out & if i push it sticks out more. I never consulted a doctor over it. Anyone with a remedy?

    Hi

How lucky are you that you don't have any pain!  If its not painful I would leave it alone.  If you're concerned then swallow your dignity and let the doctor have a look, I can understand you not liking the protrusion but only the doctor can tell you whether it needs surgery to remove.

    Good Luck

I remember getting one too about 30 years ago, i had no idea what it was those days and got really scared.  I finally went to see a doctor, he did not event look at it (and i was ok to skip the embarrassement) he simply said it was hemorrhoids, that the come in different forms, not to worry, that it would go away by iteself.  And it did, after a while.   Yours is 20 years old though...i would definitely get to a good doctor and insist that something be done to either shrink or remove it.  You are very patient.

You might be one of the lucky ones, definitely go see your doctor they might be able to push it back in for you I have friends who have been in similiar position.  If its not bleeding or hurting the doctor may sort it really quick.  If its like mine which bleeds and hurts, well my doctor has tried few things I have given up on him nothing worked.

I have the same, it comes out or protrudes when having a BM and then goes back in again. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to go back in.

If its not painful and doesnt bleed then i find natural cures are helpful. I increase fibre and water intake more, that makes the stools softer and easier to pass. The more easier and soft it is (not loose) the better. If you keep it that way soon the lump would go away.
