I have shed many tears since surgery and have found the pain pretty terrible although it us improving. I wonder if it is to do with the fact that I had a phone call on a tnursday aftetnoon to go in the fo1llowing morning to have my surgery! Not only did I not have time to prepare but I also had it done under a spinal. No pain but very harrowing sounds.

l know this post is old, but some one might need to see this. i just had my second tkr 12 days ago and yes the floodgates of all the pain from the first one october of 2018 and i question myself why are you going through all this pain and discomfort but then i bend my first knee and got the biggest burst of relief because its so worth it. i can't wait until my surgery knee catch up with the other one!! OH WHAT A TIME!!! its kinda like going through labor pain for as women but we do it over and over because when the pain is over the reward is so amazing!

Hello. I had my right knee replaced in January 2018 and the left one replaced just 6 days ago. How could I have forgotten how the pain and stiffness is after surgery? Not sure why I am surprised and frustrated. I feel like I did better in the hospital than I am six days out! Fortunately the right knee is able to carry the load and yes, it's a reminder that the healing will come. Also, I try to remember that my great grandparents suffered terribly with arthritis and never had the opportunity to have their knees replaced. I am thankful that science gives us the opportunity, but I will be so glad when a week or two pass! Blessings to all of you.
