Hi shah, I'm so glad you're feeling better I saw your last post when you were 6 weeks in but I hadn't registered with the group. I'm currently just in my 6th week and I'm still waiting for an improvement too, are you suffering with panic? I've heard lots of good reviews about Citalopram so I'm hoping they do work, what dose are you taking? I'm on 40mg cit and 40mg propranolol xx

Once the Citalopram kicked in and the side-effects diminshed, it made a huge difference to my life. When I started taking it in my 50's I had hotflushes and other menopausal problems, irritable bowel syndrome, nervous bladder, slight agoraphobia as well as a history of anxiety and depression going back to my 30's (Post Natal Depression). All of these problems improved greatly with the treatment. In recent years I have had major life changes to deal with: death of father, death of my husband and retirement. I have had a few blips but have managed to get back on an even keel. I hope that things will improve for you soon.

Hi Tammy, You're still in the early days. To start with the side effects can make you feel rotten but it's worth persisting - I found it does get better, but in weeks rather than days.
