I was diagnosed with l,s about 2 years ago and have been coping not bad ,but about a month ago I started getting real throbbing pain down where my l,s is but at the same time my breasts were really tender as well ,I don't know if this is coinsidental and it's hormone related or not as they certainly on at the same time and have not gone off I'm a month in now and I'm still throbbing and my breasts are still really hurting as well I know I'm in the menapaus and have not had periods for about 2 years either but am waiting to see gynaecology next week but don't really know if this is a proper flair up or something to do with my hormones but all I know is I have had enough of this constant pain 😥😥.

Hi Dale- Sorry to hear of your troubles. I truly believe that hormones are involved in this whole autoimmune disease- LS. Yes, ut is autoimmune as our own bodies are attacking us. The throbbing you describe certainly sounds like a flare- I would put clob on the throbbing part ( if you hv some) and rub it in goid for 90 seconds. Applying creams topically to soothe itch and pain are great, but if we do not rub the Clob in , it dies not go deep enough to conbat the T- Cells which are the root of the whole problem.

Balancing your diet, adding supplements to support your immune system, avoiding stress, and being conscious of the changes you are making shoukd help.

I believe the tender breasts are also hormone related and you may hv to hv your levels checked. I am 47, still get my period every 28 days, tests said I had plenty of Estrogen , but no testosterone. This explains, no libido, weight gain, depression/ anxiety, irritability, exhaustion. I just started a very mild testosterone cream, I’m hoping will help!

    Good luck to you!
