Hi. I had a really bad cold 4 weeks ago and my glands are still up, is this normal?

ive just finished a course of antibiotics and I have have swollen glands sore throat and a cough

    I wonder if you not only had a bacterial infection but also a viral infection, antibiotics do not help the viral infection, just time.

    Other than that the antibiotics have not killed the infection but only given it a fright, and as soon as you have finished you need another course.

      Hi Lyn yes I think maybe you are right. My glands are still up and my forehead has been very painful, eased a little today. My blood pressure was at the top end of normal yesterday aparantly. I’m not really sure why the nurse practitioner thought it was down to my headache. I think I’ve been getting my self stressed aswell, I do this when I’m ill as I sit and mull over everything and get frustrated at how I’m feeling.
