    Hi Sammy,

How old are you now, because your age will depend on what Benefits you are entitled to?

      Hi Sammy,

You are in the right age group, but whether you can receive it would be up to a decision by the DWP. You would need to apply, don't do this online, because you cannot enter detailed information, phone up and ask for a claim form.

If I was you, I would seriously consider getting someone to fill the form in on your behalf. It is quite complex and daunting if you've never seen one before, and there are questions in the form which are trick questions, which would cause you to fail on the form and never reach an Assessment. The Assessment is face to face, and you have to answer a few questions, the Assessor maybe from ATOS whom have a bad reputation, or Capita who are much better and treat you with respect.

The amount awarded depends on your needs as regards to care and mobility. If your disabilities do not affect you in anyway, they deny the claim, and with the DWP this is very easily done. You can appeal if you think their decision is incorrect, as long as this is done within 28 days of the letter. However, you can ask for this period to be extended if you require more time to gather medical information, etc. You need to enter all disorders and problems you suffer from on the initial application, they do not accept these after you have applied on just one disorder - so everything you mentioned in your first post on here you would need to put on the Application for PIP.

      Regards,

      Les.

Pip works on a points system. You score points for how your disability affects your life now. So having a disability does not necessarily mean you will be awarded Pip.

You could apply for Pip and see what happens.

    Good luck

    Sarah
