Hi I have had chronic nausia and feeling lethargic for months

I am so sick of being nauseous and lethargic everyday. I have been to a GI specialist she did three test on me an egd, sonogram of my gallbladder, and a cat scan. And all tests came back normal. So she told me that's all that she can do for me. My family Dr. Has basically given up on me also. The only thing she could find was the I was post menopausal. And my body was not producing any hormones at all. She put me on some hormones I've been on them for a month so we figured out that wasn't causing it. At this point my quality of life is terrible. Please help I'll take any advice I can get. Thank you

Hi Rachelle, Sorry to hear you're suffering and not getting any support. Though your tests are normal now, that doesn't mean there isn't something going on, obviously your symptoms are a sign your body is trying to tell you something and you're smart to listen. I suggest trying a herbal option, getting your digestive system in check is a great place to start. Look into Triphala Plus which is made by Sewanti (avail across Canada, based in Vancouver BC) to get things moving. How is your elimination? Are you regular? Constipated? You may have toxins floating around causing the nausea, many can cross the brain/blood barrier which can tap your energy and leave you feeling energyless. You should see online that Triphala is a great, safe option. There are many manufacturers but I find the quality of Sewanti is unmatched. Let me know how it goes and good luck!

As far as my elimination goes I'm always constipated all the time. I take a stool softener at night. Then I take miralax and Metamucil switching them out everyday. And NOTHING works. Oh I take something for my nausia. It's almost like my stomach and intestines just stopped working😫😫 I just hope and prey everyday for my illness to go away! Thank you for taking the time to write me.

    Hi rachelle9731

Like you I experienced extreme fatigue and nausea and I felt dreadful, I was also post menopausal. I slso had some muscle pain my doc treated me for fibromyalgia. Pain killers was the only thing I could take for muscle pain and my doc attributed my tiredness and nausea to the fibromyalgia. I was treated for FMyalgia for year or so. Then one day my daughter and I were in a chemist where they were offering tests for type 2 diabetes. That particular day i was feeling so ill, tired and nauseus. We both had the type 2 diabetes test my daughters test was fine and mine was way over the mormal blood glucose levels and was advised to see my doc asap. .Long story short...low and behold all the nausea and tiredness was due to Type 2 diabetes. When I started treatment within two weeks I felt fine. My doc apologised for not testing me for T2diabetes. I am not suggesting you have T2 diabetes but its worth getting tested just incase.....best wishes for a speedy diagnosis.....

I too suffer from nausea daily, and have since January. Lethargic, extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, back pain.....list goes on. I was diagnosed with Gerd and gallstones, having gallbladder removed last month. Saw GI doctor today, and will be having endoscopy and a colonoscopy next month. Have you any of these other symptoms? What is your age, if you don't mind me asking? I now suffer from medical anxiety, on top of being physically ill. I feel for you, the nausea is debilitating.

What's your diet like? Diet causes all diseases and medical problems. What's your magnesium intake like? If I were you I'd start with the basics and take in extra  Vit D, K2 and magnesium. Magnesium being top on the list. I personally take over 1000mg a day even though the FDA recommends 400 but these morons don't even know what causes all these diseases yet I'm suppose to listen to them? They're idiots so please take at least 2 to 3 times the daily recommended vitamins. Constipation is caused by lack of water and being deficient on magnesium. I take as much as my body needs to have regular stool. If I'm still constipated I take more magnesium.....

    Dear Rachelle,

I suspect there are just times that we feel low for whatever reason . I hope that things will get better for you .

I'm afraid that some people will use these pages to push or peddle agendas of their own.

I was taken seriously ill and hospitalized for several months about  18 months ago, as my kidneys failed. I received a phone call and lots of posts from well meaning people who KNEW how to fix my illness.

Please don't give - up, on conventional medicine, pester your GP's that's what they get paid for! Small healthy meals and an early night, de/stress your life and don't put -up with people just walk away.    Good luck  E x
