Hi yes it is HRT the doctor said it would work better than vagifem.

I think she thinks I should of been on this form of HRT a year ago .

I have started taking it now I will let you know how it goes .

I was just a bit worried as I haven't had any flare ups for a while

she does seem to think as the lichen sclerosus started the same time as I started the change that it is related .

But I have completely changed my diet to a plant base diet with no suger and I feel this has really help .

Hi Lisa, Iv'e always believed that LS is hormone related. I started with LS seven years ago after being taken off oral HRT and saw the gaeny who put me back on it. It disappeared completely for 7 years. Last year I was taken off again as the doctors won't prescribe it now as Im 64 and its back again. For me that's all the proof I need. Good luck x

      Hi Linda

Thank you for your reply makes me feel better about trying HRT.

Don't think it's very fair if doctors won't prescribe it for you if it helps.

Can you not see another doctor as 64 is still very young my sister in law mum is still on it and she is 69 . The vaginal HRT which is just for that area really helped me.

Hope you are still managing to keep it under control

thanks again and take care .xx

Hi Lisa, They say the main reason they won't give it to me is the increased risk of breast cancer at my age. Iwas on it since the age of 36 due to hysterectomy. Theres no history of cancer in my family at all but waiting to see gaenocologist since May. Yes things are more under control, its trial and error. Cant use Clob, vagifem or anything with white parrafin, so for me I had to go natural. I just use 99.9% Organic Aloe Vera Gel twice a day and drink gallons of water to keep urine diluted and its not too bad . Hope you feel better soon.
