My stomach feels really swollen and uncomfortable most of the time. I'm not in any pain but I have a really strange sensation in my tummy. I'm also really tired much of the time. Can anyone tell me if this is normal.

Hi Carol, I didn't have bladder repair only hysterectomy and from my experience, yes that funny tummy feeling is natural, does it feel a bit heavy like you are pregnant? mine was like this for a long time and even now at 10 months post op sometimes it fells a little like that at the end of the day.

oh my goodness that's exactly how I fee. It feels really heavy and bloated.   I was starting to worry about it.  Did you feel really tired a lot of the time. I'm so scared of doing too much but I keep forgetting and find myself bending down and reaching up for things. You've made me feel so much better x

Yes like you in the first few weeks I felt very tired, don't go lifting heavy things, at 5 weeks nothing heavier than a kettle, don't do things like vacuuming unless you have one of those very lightweight vacs, I used a little carpet sweeper for ages, I was bending down to pick small things up while I was still in hospital, I had a vaginal hysterectomy and luckily experienced no pain afterwards, but you do have to be careful, I took my dogs for a little walk the day I got out of hospital, my neighbour had a mild panic attack when she saw me, lol.

      Take care
