I am exploring both watch and wait as well As seeding. Am looking for people's experiences of these treatments and any alternatives. My issues are I am not suffering any side effects and have an active sex life. To have the prostate removed will leave me with erectile dysfunction and possible bladder problems.

I've just joined this forum. I had my prostate removed last year and had follow up RT. I would recommend joining the Prostate Care Uk forum. You will get lots of replies and advice there. You can also find a 'toolkit' that will answer a lot of your questions

I would like you to think about proton radiation therapy. I had a T1, Gleason 6 score and underwent proton radiation. This is a non invasive radiation approach. I had it done at the University of Florida Proton Center in Jacksonville, Florida. They are wonderful. Several patients from the UK were there and your government health covered all their expenses. I completed the therapy 2 weeks ago and had minor side effects of some urgency issues but not a major problem. After two weeks now almost all effects have gone away. I have full sexual functions.

At T3 and Gleason 4+4 and 73 years old I thought surgery the poorer option even without the warning that I would probably need radiotherapy afterwards. So I went for Hormone Therapy plus Radiotherapy. My wife is supporting that with a lot of attention to my diet. I wish you well in making the best informed guestimate for your particular situation. I hope any interruption to your sex life will be temporary. It is a more significant issue at your age than at mine. An issue for me none the less so I do feel for you. George
