Hi my Gynae has recommended to try HRT  patches as I am experiencing such frequent  infections. I was wondering if anybody on here has found that the HRT has helped with UTI'S.  I am constantly having to take antibiotics which is not fun. I have also experienced hot flushes and  night sweats but after giving up coffee and reducing my wine consumption they have stopped at the moment.

Yes, I'm a 'frequent flyer' UTI patient myself. Estrogen has helped reduce the number of  UTIs. I use an estrogen gel on my arm and intravaginal estrogen which helps more locally. Estrogen improves the health of all uro-genital tissue that has become dry, often irritated and inelastic due to decreased estrogen levels. Will you be on estrogen patch only? If you still have your uterus, you will need to to take Progesterone to keep the endometrial lining from thickening, as it once did prior to menses.

Yeah for me hrt helps a lot with my urological system and vagina. It helps with the elasticity of the tissue.
