hi im debbi was prescribed cipralex 10mg almost 6 weeks ago for sleeplesnes panic and disturbing thoughts not feeling much betta if im honest still not sleeping properly starting to think im losing my mind increased to 20 mg but only for aday felt like azombie i had aweek about the 3rd week were i felt ok then felt worse than eva feel like thers no end 2 this back at docs 2moro terrified hes gunna increase and if they dont work whats left anyone else feel like this sad

    Hi Debbi. Sorry you have not had a good result thus far. I was on 20mg from the start and my experience was that it took a good six weeks for relief of all the symptoms. Perhaps this is not for you and I am sure your doctor will sort out something to help you. At the outset of treatment I was also prescribed a sleeping pill called Zopiclone. This was used for a short period until the full benefits of Cipralex kicked in after six weeks or so. I am now only on Cipralex and find it very effective.     thanx 4 your reply terry feeling really bad 2day docs decided 2 ween me of over the next two weeks im terrified if ifeel like this with them wats it gunna be like without been given tamazipam 4 sleep was on diazipam but now stopped cant believe it this is the first time ive eva been on anything only the odd headache pill really scared all the side affects dont help either really glad you replied helps 2 no im not on my own

    Hi Debbi, good your doctor is monitoring you and hopefully the withdrawal will help you. I said before that perhaps Cipralex was not for you. There are other medications available and the best person to determine a suitable one is your GP. As you say you are not alone - lots of us have been there, try to keep your chin up. Best wishes.
