Hell on earth is how I have been feeling for a few months now , have had every test going from blood works to having a camara down my throat even waiting to have camera up the other end now ?? Been feeling realy down getting flushed face even my husband said he has had enough with my moods thinking I have some serious illness , can't seem too get out of this rut .
i am 56 and know that I'm in the menapose but hadn't realised that what I'm feeling can come from this . Do I need HRT ??? .

Hi Debi, I agree with you. I can deal with sweating all the time but the mental symtoms are my worst.I'm going to my gyn who ordered a blood test 3 days after my last cycle to see what I can take for this monster inside me

Hi Anne. sorry you are feeling so awful. before you go to docs on tuesday it would be a good idea to write down all your symptoms. docs on the whole diagnose peri/meno largely on symptoms as hormone blood tests are very unreliable due to frequent fluctuations - even hour to hour!. I got put on low dose/low risk hrt in april & feel much better for it - particularly the mental symptoms of erratic low mood, short temper, random tearfulness, anxiety & panic attacks, brain fog, lack of concentration/focus, & intense stubborn headaches. my night sweats have reduced - i dont get them every night anymore & my irregular bleeding for last 2yrs has stopped - i just get a light monthly bleed in cycle with the hrt. i take oestrogel nightly - 1 pump rubbed into inner/mid thighs, & utrogestan 2 100mg capsules days 15-26 of a 28day cycle at night. utrogestan is micronised progesterone - a pure form of progesterone which is supposed to be more effective in helping with peri/meno symptoms than synthetic progesterone found in birth control pills. I hope this info helps, lots of lovely ladies on here to support, talk to, ask questions or just vent! do let us know how you get on at the docs on tuesday. xxx

You have come to the right place. I too thought I has some sort of disease. I had bloods tests, had a camera down my throat and am going to a neurologist . I was scared, panicky and always Ill. I went on HRT 4 months ago,and my now trying to adjust it to get the right balance. My depression and sweats are lots better. You could start a low dose xx

I'm seeing a neurologist for burning sensations in my nose when I breath. Also tingling in my nose and face. Everything comes on you at once xx

I am the exact same, been feeling sick since January. Been to loads of specialists and two different gps. Had tons of scans and tests, and still more upcoming. I have a lot of physical symptoms, as well as psychological ones, but am afraid I have something terrible too. I am on HRT, but don't believe it has helped a whole lot. After I get through with all the testing, and am sure everything is good, I will be seeing a naturopathic dr. Feel like they might be better at finding out why I feel so lousy everyday. Hope you find answers too. Keep us posted.

Combipatch, lower dose. As I said, don't think it's doing much.
