    Hi V,

Keeping a lot better thanks. I have benefited greatly from several months of Cognitive Behavioural Counselling for severe post traumatic stress disorder. Tonight, for the third Christmas I addressed a group of friends and relatives of people who have died through suicide. Our church has hosted this meeting organised and run by PIPS (Public Initiative for Prevention of Suicide for the last three years at Christmas time.

The cold weather, as you know, is not kind to those with chest complaints but thank God that I am as well as I am and I still attend pulmonary maintenance classes.

This Christmas we are not getting taken up so much with all the mad rush of shopping. I think that the true meaning of Christmas has been, in many ways, lost in all the commercialism that seems to have taken over. No shopping has been done yet and we hope to have a quiet, family Christmas this year. God bless,

    Regards,

    Robert

    Hi Robert

So glad to hear you are keeping a lot better, and you have benefited from the CB counselling. You are doing really well to be able to do what you do, for your Church and PIPS.

It is difficult with the cold weather and breathing this time of year, but taking good care of ourselves does help to keep the COPD stable. Its good to hear you are still attending PR maintenance classes. I'm finding the weather really damp and cold here at the moment, so am doing most of the exercise inside.

Good Bless you and all those you are in contact with.

Have a wonderful Christmas Robert, with lots of good wishes to you and all those close to you for 2012.

Hi V, Had a great day yesterday, breathing and energy were great most of the day until late afternoon and then it was downhill all the way. Had a very bad night, awake at four and up at five unable to breathe or get chest clear. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things can deteriorate with copd. I cant remember a wetter autumn and now winter here in Northern Ireland over the last twenty years. Ah well it was great to have a day where my health felt good again. God bless. Regards, Robert

    Hi Robert,

Thinking of you. I hope you are feeling better since you last posted here. The weather is very cold at the moment so need to stay in the warm if you can. I know my lungs are unhappy in this weather.

I am indulging in Stones Ginger Wine, it sure does warm you up and has the feel good factor as well ;O)

Wishing you a wonderful evening, a very good Friday and Happy breathing easy weekend.

Did you see the Northern Lights? I saw on You Tube the Canadian ones. Great natural wonders.

    Take good care.

    V x
