Hiatal hernia

I've suffered with acid reflux for over 8 years and have been on lansoprazole for most of that time. Sometimes 30mg and 60,mg a few years ago. I've had an endoscopy and been diagnosed with hiatal hernia. I've been fine on 30 mg for months but last few weeks I've struggled due to stress and anxiety. Is it ok to top it up with zantac as that's all that seemes to work. I've been getting stinging all around my stomach.

I've been taking about 45mg of lansoprazole too to try and get it back under control. Once I've got it under control I'll taper off.

Have you tried another ppi? I used to take lanzoprazole and I have tried 2 others since which are better. But the best in my and a lot of people's opinion is esomeprazole which the brand name is nexium. I have a hiatus hernia, gastritis and oesophagitis and I was in a lot of pain following an endoscopy recently. For a week I took double esomeprazole and zantac as well as those double action mint tablets for heartburn. I was told that was ok. I am just taking the ppi now as it is improving.
