Hiatal hernia, GERD,IBS or is it something else???

Posted , 3 users are following.

My symptoms are changing all the time,I am freaking out.

I was told GERD with hiatal hernia and recently was told it could be IBS as well.

Since yesterday I have been having random chest pain and I feel like I have something stuck in my throat.

I have to constantly cough it out.

The chest pain radiates to the back.

What can I do to help with the pain? I have too many symptoms already...now this????

Does it ever end?

I have adjusted my diet so much and increases my water intake but I am still here living a life full of tummy troubles.

Please help!

Try antacids or milk for the GERD. With a hiatus hernia, eat smaller portions and easy to digest foods.  Eat little but often. Take time with your meals and chew your food well.  Avoid eating late at night.  Try to relax more and concentate on hobbies and this will help to settle your stomach,Anxiety is not good for stomach trouble..  IBS can keep coming back. Ir is a chronic condition.  Ask for an antispasmodic like Buscopan if you have been diagnosed wirh IBS.

Go back to your doctor!  See if you can get a definitive diagnosis.
