Hi to fellow sufferers,
I have returned home from speaking to surgeon, who gave me results of 24hr stomach acid test,
Surgeon has now suggested that i need an operation to push back stomach in its right place, hernia i have is large, causing a lot of reflux in osophagus
very painful when eating even liquids cause a problem when swallowing
I have the same symptoms as a lot of you, pain in arms, neck, chest cavity, also my legs go like jelly when i try to stand, which soon pass when i hold on to something.
I have very bad stomach pain 30mins after eating where i feel relief after emptying my bowel also vomiting now loosing weight. no appetite even glutton free food is not helping much.
I also have CKD 3 where surgeon said i need to go on dialyses before operation.
Trying to make my mind up to go ahead with op, maybe complications.
with kidney disease or carry on living in this miserable state. HELP NEEDED with decision.
Is there anyone with the same results as myself
Many Thanks Optivita

Since being diagnose my condition is far worse will be glad to have op now.
I find what helps is not to eat anything with wheat bananas stodgy food
Sweets has been the best thing to give me energy albeit short burst,
Yogurts soup, all the bad things i can eat even roast veg
now unable to do any bending too painfull putting weight on i wonder why!
These next few days yuk untill it is all over, after i will let all my fellow sufferers know how i get on.

Op went well, all this anxiety i went through, I was put at ease by lovely
nursing staff.
Key hole surgery performed 3 incisions, couldnt bilieve i am not stiched on outside WOW a special kind of glue to keep incision together undelivable
I am stitched inside as I needed a repair after hernia was put back in place.
Stomach drain was inserted for 24hrs not very nice but tolerable, it was needed, pain relief given by drip where i had control albeit monitered so no overdosing.
Sloppy food is advise after op for a few days eg soup, yougurt, then soft food, mash everything easier to digest, only small amounts, expect a quick dash to toilet after first amount of food consumed.
5 days on slight discomfort in shoulders as i was told by anethist this is where gasses settled after op normal reaction Good luck to you all DONT WORRY you are in good hands, my op performed by a wonderful surgeon Thanks

Here i am again, had hernia op felt well for a few months, then acid started again, taking rapberazole
sadly op did not work for me,acid reflux has done a lot of damage to all my tubes.
Endoscopy done last week, had several biopsy taken that dreaded waiting feeling for result, and knowing that hernia has gone as far as my chest causing a lot of pain, vomiting, diahorea
Have been told another op open surgery this time hoping it wont be long in the future it is now painful just to have that nice cup of tea, only fluids can i get down also a bit of mushy food.
There is always a reason why we get acid in our osofegus hernia main cause, get it checked!!
I wish all fellow sufferers well in future
