Hi, I have been on Lamiprazole, Omeprazole and Pantiprazole, I stopped Pantiprazole as it was giving me real bad back pain so gone back to Omeprazole. I had blood tests which came back clear! I was absolutely petrified to go for my endoscopy as I read do many stupid reviews on internet, I was going to have sedation but the doctor persuaded me to have it without,he sprayed the back of my throat and you cant feel your throat, they lie you on you left side and put the scope down, it take 4/5 mins and I can say I was fine, I left the hospital after 20 mins. You can have sedation if you want to though. I have never had any pain just heartburn which had gone completely now. My hubby had pain and his was an ulcer, you should insist on having it done! Peace of mind is better than any medicine, hope your ok soon. My hubby takes Ranatidine, you can buy it over the counter oh and I take aniseed peptac which is good, hope your better soon x

Thankyou so much Lynn yes I'm going go insist on having the dreaded endoscopy it will certainly give me answers I hope. At the moment I just feel they are guessing by putting hands over area of the pain although one dr did actually examine me after seeing him twice. I think it's the not knowing isn't it as well. Your mind tries to work it out and make sense of it all. Oh your blood tests came back clear too well I will try n keep positive n taking he meds until I find out
