Hiatus hernia

Just been told I have a hiatus hernia. Taking omeprazole and peptac. Anyone else have this and what symptoms? Thanks!

    I was diagnosed with a hiatis hernia in 2002. it can give you acid reflux which isnt pleasant.

    Avoid heavy meals, dont eat 4 anything 4 hours prior to bed. chocolate, garlic onions can bring on symptoms. drink alcholic drinks in moderation. Normally your GP should give you antacids if you get reflux symptoms with the hernia. Best of luck.

      I'm on omeprazole and peptac at the moment. What symptoms did you have? It's ok at the moment but do tend to have flare ups.
