Hiatus Hernia advice needed

Hi everyone,
I've recently been diagnosed with with Hiatus Hernia, through an endoscopy. Mine is a 4cm sliding one.
Over the past 3 months the quality of my life has drastically dropped, I am being sick almost every day (whether I eat or not), getting a burning sensation, burping non stop and well as being bloated constantly.
The doctors have tried various medications before my diagnosis, however nothing has helped.
I've read a lot online in regards to the condition, and frankly don't want to be on tablets for the rest of my life. Is there any way possible I can opt for surgery? My GP has not been helpful at all and at times I feel like I am hitting my head against a brick wall.
Can anyone recommend anything?
Thanks in advance

23 yo male with a HH, had acid nearly every day, couldn't sleep, could barely eat, I was in agony all the time and I was really depressed. My stools were literally black, I had gastritis and I couldn't eat anything acidic like tomatoes or drink alchol without severe pain and acid. Tried omaprezole, tried over the counter acid reflux medication, these did barely anything save serve as a temporary relief. It was so bad that the pain in my chest felt like heart attacks and I went to A&E on more than one occasion convinced I was dying. Then I found the cure... I cut out meat first, this helped tremendously, however I still ate fish, dairy, eggs, alcohol etc. Then I started to consume much less alcohol, drinking around once every month and much less than I would have normally. At this point I was having more good days than bad - but the bad days were still too much to bear! Sleepless nights and the threat of barretts oesophagus forced me to re-evaluate my choices again and I became a vegan, cut down on my bread consumption, and gave up alcohol. I have been this way for a few months now, and I haven't had acid or pain at all for that long too. It's outstanding. The only time I had slight acid reflux and pain (I will call it 'normal' reflux as I imagine it's what a non-HH-sufferer would expeirience) is when I ate two large rolls of bread with a vegetable soup that I ordered because I didn't want them to go to waste. Being vegan makes you cook healthy meals and will improve your overall health, and obviously it keeps those little animals happy too
This may not work for everyone but I implore you to try. My mother had a very severe HH which had caused her oesophagus to fuse to her lungs and other surrounding tissue, and she had to have a large operation which left her weak and still she finds it hard to eat... I wish she had had the oppourtunity to try this lifestyle. No agenda, not selling anything, I am anti-medication because I think it covers up not cures. If you aren't willing to make sacrifices then I must say you can't be that concerned with your condition!

Hi I'm so grateful for this site, I have a Hiatus Hernia but have no heartburn but I'm nit sure if this dizzy feeling is connected, I feel like I may faint sort of dizzy & nauseous like travel sickness as a child, its messing my job up I have had a written warning over so much sickness, I get pain under ribs either side & in middle below breasts & its si tender there, I cant wash my grandchildren's hair because leaning over hurts, its making life intolerable & my shoulders hurt too. I'm 63 year old lady & need to work full-time now I am alone. I keep thinking the dizziness is something in my brain, its all getting a bit scary, is dizziness & nausea part of the symptoms. Please any answers would help, thank you guys.
