Hiatus hernia and struggling to breathe?

I have recently been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia and severe inflammation of the stomach, duodenum etc. My main symptoms are heartburn, acid reflux, pain in the upper abdomen, back, below ribcage and below breastbone. Following the endoscopy I was put on nexium for two months which I have been taking for a few weeks and have not had much of an impact. I get very short of breath a lot, sometimes after eating and sometimes randomly. In the hospital they gave me a leaflet on hernia which said to lose weight, cut out alcohol and stop smoking. I am underweight and don't smoke or drink. I can deal with the pain ok, but the breathlessness is very bad. I get very faint and lightheaded and my hands, feet and mouth tingle and I feel like I need to clear my throat but no relief. I don't feel panicky mentally but my body feels like I've had a panic attack as my legs feel like jelly after. The breathlessness usually lasts about an hour max. I struggle with stress management and the doctors think that was the cause of the hernia.

Is there anything to do for relief of the breathlessness?
