Hiatus hernia bad back pain

Hi I'm 23 years old I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia in my chest I've been suffering so bad acid reflux chest pain sore throats bad chest stomach swelling and pain and now the past few months I'm getting really bad back pain waking me up at night I'm in tramadol at the moment cause it's so bad had a MRI scan and come back all clear on the waiting list for surgery just had the PH probe test done just got to wait now do you think the back pain is to do with my hernia ? Just a nightmare so much pain and everything coming back clear

    hi it could be from the hernia. i have had 2 failed surgeries anfd now waiting for a third. i am have ph test tomorrow. i have such pain and acid refluxcthat i cannot stand up straight. i have been put on morphine and an a mixture of paracetamol and codine.

    It is your Hernia that is causing your pain. I have the same issue as you for years now. Not so bad as you I think but yeah everything came back clear for me as well. Look for the patterns when it hurts.

    Here are some things to look out for when it hurts that would point to it being your hernia causing your acid reflux which in turn causes your back pain

    Does it hurt shortly after you eat?

    Does it hurt worse when you eat a bog meal?

    Does it hurt when you drink ice cold water?

    Does it hurt after you lay down?

    If you want to test it out to calm your nerves eat an entire red bell pepper and see if the pain comes. If it does then its your acid reflux.

    Aw thanks so much for replying to my comment didn't think it was the hernia causing the. Back pain but so many people say that it's dose and seems like your all just suffering like me hopefully I will have the surgery done soon and hope you all do to I'll try the tips thank you x
