Hiatus Hernia - help please

I have had a Hiatus Hernia for over 30 years (I am 65 now). It is 6cms and I also have Barretts. For the past year my symptoms are becoming worse, such that my life is really impacted with the symptoms. Most recent are feelings of nausea, faintness and dizziness. I also feel as it I have been punched in the stomach with pain radiating through to my back and shoulders. Had all the test, (and all the medication) but I really do not know where to turn from here. I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. Consultant has not offered surgery and to be honest I would be scared to have it anyway as there is no way I would want anything to make this worse. Just need reassurance if anyone can give that?
Thankyou

I was diagnosed with a HH last year. I am 60 years old and had been dealing with episodes of increased heart rate, nausea, light headed.... Many tests were done on my heart all came back negative. I had visits to the ER, and urgent care. I think it all had been because of the HH.
I stay away from alcohol, chocolate, spicy and acidy foods. I take a ppi daily and when I do have a flare up I take mylanta with simethicone. I Have been using probiotics and doing so much better.
Have the doctors have ruled out your symptoms being from your heart or other medical condition ? If so they sound like they’re from the hernia.
Im sorry you’re going through this misery. I know how frustrating, frightening and debilitating it can be.
Take care, Lynne
