Hiatus Hernia + new symptoms?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi, I was diagnosed with a HH about 2 years ago, usual symptoms which come and go. I've had an endoscope, been put on ranitidine (Lansorpozole gave me joint & muscle pain!) and things have not been too bad untill the last 6 weeks.

I've started to wake up feeling sick which gets worse after eating. The joint & muscle pain is back especially in my lower back and shoulders and now i am feeling constantly exhausted, (i'm also having trouble sleeping and cannot sleep on one side).

I'm pretty sure some of this is due to stress, (8 year old daughter with an attitude!), but i cannot figure out why i am constantly tired. I'm being sent for another endoscope to check my stomach.

Has anyone else had these symptoms? any advice appreciated.

James

Quick update, admitted to A&E after ECG showed something abnormal. I spent 5 1/2 hours in hospital and am now totally confused. I have seen 3 doctors in 4 days. One says ECG shows sings of old heart attack,(i've not had a heart attack, have I?). Second doctor says blood tests & ECG ok but cannot explain symptoms & third doctor says could be related to GERD, but i could have had a heart attack and mistaken it for indigestion.

Wife is now panicking as i have to wait 2 weeks to see GI consultant. She wants me to ask GP for referral to cardiac speciallist to rule out anything else.

Needless to say this is unerving.
