Hiatus Hernia surgery

I had hiatus surgery over a year ago and my stomach has not been the same. Much gas and bloating. Anyone else had this problem and did you ever find a solution?

    What type of surgery did you have?

    If it was a fundoplication then gas and bloating are very common.

      I did have the fundoplication; but it been over a year and the gas is ecessive. Will this improve in time? Thanks for your resonse.

      My wife had a fundoplication 4-years ago and still has the gas problem. I think it may be forever. My wife finds relief using Gas-X.

      Thanks for the quick response. I am going try a different diet but I am hoping that i can get better results. Thanks

    do u experience nausea indigestion and still reflux?did you have laparoscopic surgery?

      Yes, I had laparoscopuc surgery and was good for the first three weeks since then I have no reflux but excessice gas especially at night. My stomach also is always growling. Thank you for your resonse.

    Hi I think maybe you should change you diet from what i read and experienced a alkalising diet may be better for you there are lots of  recipies on the you tube .
