Hidascan experience

Posted , 4 users are following.

today I had a hidascan for my gallbladder. Im so nervous to get my results because Im scared everything will be good even though Im in pain. I did notice my gallbladder disappeared after they put the medicine in to make it contract. Is that normal? Also I got sick to my stomach, felt bloated and had back pains during the test.

hey! i was the same! had pain during and afterwards but after so many other tests over the years i was sure they'd come back and say there was nothing wrong! but no got a call a few weeks later saying it had shown my gallbladder is malfunctioning and needs to come out. My pre-op was cancelled though due to covid but its ok. Now i know what it is and its not in my head!

    Try not to worry.

I've no idea tbh. the lady doing the scan didn't talk me through it and I've not seen the consultant to discuss it further, just a phone call to say it had to come out! As i said i was due to see the consultant but it was cancelled due to covid.
