High Bilirubin Levels

****hi there, I've recently been for multiple blood tests due to my bilirubin levels being elevated. 8 weeks ago the levels were at 56umol/L and then four weeks later they went up to 69umol/L. I've had yellowing of the eyes for years but nothing that has ever concerned me, nor anything i have ever spoken to the GP about until recently. The doctors have mentioned Gilberts Syndrome, but are now speaking to the Liver and Gastro Specialists to see if they want more investigations. I work in the health profession myself and I'm only 20 years old and am now worrying myself that something could be wrong! Any advice welcome and anyone who's been through something similar, i hope you reply and ease my mind!

    Eat your fibre and try seeing a health store for options. Liver problems can stem from alcohol abuse.

      thank you for your reply! i really appreciate it, and also would like to point out that i only drink maybe twice a year
