High blood pressure / knee pain

So I've had high blood pressure for a while now (month or two.. maybe), and then just about 2 weeks ago.. every night and everytime I stay still my right knee starts to pain. I sleep for a while then I wake up and there's severe pain in my knee. This pain only occurs after being still or laying down. The pain sometimes lingers. I wake up in the middle of the night and move my leg and my knee hurts like hell. Is there a correlation, and is the knee pain possibly osteoarthritis?
