High bp when talking

I have been taking a lot of readings on my machine lately. I have noticed that bp readings are high just from talking. My bp climbs to 150/100 while chatting to anyone and goes higher on the phone, then gradually goes back to normal. Anyone have this problem?

My BP can raise or lower during testing simply with any deliberated thought processes.

If you wish to establish the lowest common BP test reading.......then you may need to allow your mind to also be at rest during the testing process.

You shouldn't talk or do anything while taking your blood pressure.  Just sit still and think nice thoughts for a  couple of minutes then take a reading, wait about five minutes and take another and see what the readings are.  Taking your blood pressure at different times of the day can show quite large differences sometimes.  If you are taking lots of readings perhaps you are getting anxious if they are a bit high which will make them go high anyway and certainly don't take them while chatting on the phone!
