For the past 8 or more years I've had high estrogen levels normal in the UK are 70 max mine vary around, 300-400 I've had gyno cut out twice, also have gyno again. No doctor will take me serious I would pay the earth to get someone to help I don't drink I haven't took steroids I take 20mg tamoxifen per day

I'm 35 and it's ruined my life from gyno to fat all round I eat so healthy but nothing helps I know this sounds mad but I just carnt get my mind of suicide nobody can lower these levels and it's causing me high emotions 8 years on still no answers where do I turn before I have no other option

Dear dmjscott, I can't give you any medical answers about your problems as I have no knowledge.  But as a woman I can understand how badly we are affected by hormone levels which I've found could make me unhappy and at times irrational.  After my hysterectomy I was offered HRT, but gave it up after a year as I had a naturally high level and yes, I put on unwanted weight.

At 35, you still have much to offer life, and I am very saddened to hear of your suicidal thoughts.  You must see you GP, surgery, or primary care doctor and make him/her aware of these feelings.  You need answers to these medical questions to get back on a good balance.  Please do ask for help, emphasising how this is seriously affecting your mood.

Live is worth living - and loving - I truly hope they can overcome this awful imbalance you are suffering from, and that you can fully enjoy it once again.

With best wishes for a full and speedy recovery

Thank you for for your kind words I'm male so having breast tissue cut out is very demoralising, nothing I do lowers my estrogen levels I also have Gilbert syndrome but the severe itching and sweaty flushes i put down to estrogen

I really am at the end of the line....

All the more reason to seek help.  I know Gilbert's syndrome can lead to jaundice, and jaundice is made worse with stress.  And it sounds as though you are badly stressed out right now.

I can only imagine the serious effect breast surgery must be having on you.  However I am sure if your levels could be balanced out life would be happier for you.

Do take good care of yourself, and please seek help for your depression.

    With very kindest regards,

    Cora
