Hi everyone I was just wondering if an ALT of 268 is high??? It was 263 but now it has come up, I’ve been feeling quite dizzy and exhausted and had mild to moderate tummy pain and nausea but not actually thrown up

Hi elle. Yes, 268 is high. ALT and AST can go into the quadruple digits so it may not be considered critical yet. Liver problems can definitely cause fatigue, abdominal pain and nausea.

    What does your doctor say?

I just recently got out of hospital and they said if I get abdominal pain to go back to A&E but I don’t feel like the pain is that severe that I need to go back, i have also been on antibiotics and idk if they can cause the same symptoms. I have more blood tests on Tuesday 😊

A lot of antibiotics can aggravate liver issues, so this is something you want to keep on top of.  Most antibiotic liver issues are cholestatic in nature, & increased dietary choline/lecithin may be helpful.  Eggs are the best source of lecithin, so if you can include eggs in your diet this should help,

Keep pestering your doc to get to the bottom of this.  Triple digit liver enzymes are not something you want to live with for extended periods of time.
