    Hi Weesue,

I had the same repair 9 weeks ago. I still had stitches at my 6 week check up. Felt like I turned a corner after 4 weeks and started to feel much better. I’m now building up my activity levels and trying to establish some normality. Discharge has only recently settled - it’s a sign stitches are still intact so I’m assuming I’m almost stitch free now!

My only complaint is lower back pain when standing or sitting for long periods, oh and weight gain from the inactivity sad

I hope the rest of your recovery goes well.

Hi Mandie , I'm scared to even look down below at the moment.im still very sore down below and feel heavy in that area stomach keeps swelling up as well . Managed to sit up yesterday most of day but suffering now . And kept getting headaches actually a wee bit worried about it all thought I would be doing better bye now ..fed up with the discharges at least they aren't to heavy . Sitting for long periods of time is a nightmare just can't get comfy but am trying to be a bit more mobile xx

    Hi Weesue

Had same op plus u sling 16 weeks ago. I didn’t have a discharge so thinking maybe best to contact specialist to get reassurance on that one. I couldn’t sit for 8 weeks. I started feeling like the surgery was less prominent at 12 weeks and now at 16 weeks  as long as I don’t lift or carry or stand or sit for very long things are getting back to normal.

It takes a long time, looking back it would have been more helpful to me to have just accepted that fact and not try and move things along when you just haven’t healed sufficiently.

    I hope that’s helpful Weesue

I don't think age has anything to do with it im just turning 52 tomorrow it will be just about 6 weeks if i decide to have intercourse I'm still getting pelvic pain so as long as I'm still feeling uncomfortable I'm doing what my body tells me
