I've got a similar thing but my hip isn't popping, just an incredible stiffness at the top of the leg. I'm 12 weeks post LTHR and I still haven't received any physio yet. Been told there are more important people in the queue ahead of me, which is charming considering I've just had major surgery.

I hope the physio sortso out your problems.

THe abductor muscles do get very tight.  I suffered from them during my recovery but now all ok after visiting physio and having acupuncture. As to the clicking. Never experienced that.

I had the same issue and water exercise is resistance trading and help build the muscles. I'm sorry your having this. Is there any way to avoid sitting mabe use a recliner leg stretched out. Sitting will make it worse. I actually got out of jury duty after THR because it was to much sitting in chairs. But a year later they called me in again. Had no excuse and was stuck fitting all day. Did not bother me then. Best thing my surgeon told me to ride a incumbent bile and water therapy. So you will be on the right track and back in business soon. 😊

you can lay on your side, bad leg towards ceiling

tighten your leg muscles and lift the leg, hold, relax.

    This will strengthen your abductors.
