I actually had my surgery 3 weeks ago, but I always did hurt in my hip area.

Yes. I also have that. It comes and goes with me. If I walk a lot it hurts. I was told by my doctor to take aspirin or a pain reliever, if the pain becomes unbearable them to go to the ER. Am not too happy with this reply and am looking for options as well. This condition is frustrating to say the least.

Yes, i do. Ever since i was diagnosed last year, i have had intermittent hip pain. After two negative CT scans because of the pain, my doctors attributed it to muskulosketal pain.

Oh please ask me all the questions you would like. I will help as much as I can.

I had my surgery on a Monday and I was out the same week on Thursday and actually went grocery shopping the next day on Friday. I was slow and careful of course but I did it. I started eating regular food right away on the Tuesday. That surprised me too but I had no problem with it. It felt sooo good to eat normally. I recovered very quickly. And 3.5 months later I feel amazing.

Yes, before my surgery pain in lower abdomen, back, upper thighs and hips.

I used to slather on 'Mineral Ice' blue gel, it feels cold and then warms up; it really helped me deal with some of the pain.

Yes but my hip pain was on right side. Got it very bad before surgery. Still get it occasionally. Goodness knows why it was on right. This is a mysterious disease!

I have a lot of right side hip pain that hurts mostly when laying in bed making it painful to roll over or change positions. I rarely take any OTC meds just try to find a position that feels comfortable. Until I joined this group I blamed the pain on arthritis because I had no clue that it could be caused from diverticular disease. When I am constipated I have sciatic pain. The minute I use the bathroom, the pain is gone. That was another weird thing I experienced with DD.

My infection was on my lower left side so the right side hip pain is strange. Best wishes in finding relief and comfort.

Its strange isnt it? And since the attack that put me in hospital, and also after surgeries, i have strange pins and needles down my back and in my legs. Nothing found to explain it. All from bowel. This is a misunderstood disease and still a lot not known in my opinion.
