Hi Junered
I had THR on the 3rd March then it dislocated on the 11th ..
I was put in a hip hinged brace for 4 weeks .. then another 2 weeks for a total 6 week recovery of the surgery site.
I have had no problems since , I am extremely careful and don’t push it , and doing hydro therapy twice a week , but I am able to walk 4 miles a day , and before the op I couldn’t walk hardly at all !
I hope that helps , all the best for your recovery 😊

I had TLHR on Jan 28, 2017 with great success until I fell on my I my driveway on Jan 9, 2018 and dislocated it. Been having problems with it ever since. It keeps partially popping out (while simply walking) and then back in by itself within 30 sec, last time being approx 2 weeks ago. If it continues to happen, my doc says I’ll have to be in an immobilizing brace for 3 months to allow the scar tissue to fully heal again. 😕
Try to find out the cause of the dislocations. Did you fall and potentially weaken it as I did? What are you doing when it dislocates? My doc also said I was taking too big of strides while walking, which put it in the exact location it needs to be in for dislocation.
I hope you’re able to find the answer and have it heal properly. Best of luck to you!
