Hip pain 10 years after surgery

Hi everyone new to this forum.

Ten years post THR in right hip.

My hip has never been the same since having this surgery. I have asked numerous times to be sent for a MRI and my surgeon kept saying no this wasn't necessary as it was soft tissue damage and it would heal in time. In 2018 I had another surgery an Abductor repair to try and sort this issue, this didn't make any difference. 2019 I asked for a second opinion as soon as I saw this consultant he immediately sent me for a MRI. The result of the MRI were that my Gluteus Medius muscle had not been attached and was atrophied. I have no idea if this was done during my THR or when I had my second surgery. My guess is during the THR, for me to be in so much pain for years, which in my opinion means that my surgeon must have know about this after the second surgery.

Has anyone been through this who can offer any advice.

TIA Lynda.
