    Hi Angelika,

Did you take any anti-biotics prior to your procedure?  Even if you didn't, I would think it's highly unlikely that the dental procedure had anything to do with the discomfort in your hip because of the time period being so short.

Try applying an ice pack to your hip and elevate your leg.  This should help with the discomfort.

    Wishing you the bestsmile

    hi angelika ,

When was your hip replacement surgery  ? The only thing I found in your previous discussions is that it was 3 years ago ....

Maybe you were so tense and sat crooked in dentist chair ????

let us know, okay and of course, when in doubt have it checked as soon soon as possible

    big warm hug

    renee

p.s. how is the new job working out?

Well goodness, you posted 6 days ago and I'm just seeing this now.  First I hope you are feeling better and do hope you will come back and tell us what you learned about the pain.

My opinion, unprofessional of course is similar to others, that it was much too soon from the time of dental appointment to pain starting.

However, I was thinking it might be something I think is called "referred pain" or "memory pain" as in your body may have been remembering the hip operation......okay that might sound hokey but it is what came to my mind.

If Tyler hip replacement was less then a year ago, you are suppose to take antibiotics 1 hour before a dental procedure.

    Did you do that?

    Hi Angelika

I hope your pain is gone now.  Even after 10 years, I contantly look at the height of the chair.  I find even now I am aware not to dislocate the hip by sitting incorrectly etc. Are you sure it is your hip and not a tendon/muscle?

Hello, thank you everyone for replying to my thread. Sorry for my long replying but i wasnt very well for the last few days ( being ill nothing to do with the hip) i havent take the antibiotics prior to having my tooth done, but the dentist said it is not necessary. On that day i was really in pain but now i dont think it was because of the dentist because the next day the pain was gone.                                                                       Renee01952 - thanks for asking, the job is ok but i do feel that after 6 hours non stop walking , my hip is in pain, but im going to wait and see that maybe my hip will get used to it. Have a lovely day everyone :-)
