Hip Pain after Horse Kick

I'm a 22 year old female and last year I was kicked on the left side of my hip with the tip of the hoof hitting the outside hip bone. I had a large hematoma and was told by the doctor to just let it heal. Ever since that incident I've been having bad hip pain. Sometimes to the point I cant walk. It feels very tight a lot and the ache I feel is so deep I cant place it exactly where it is. Not to mention excessive popping up to 15 times a day. I had never had problems with my hips before this. I went to an orthopedic hip surgeon and he pretty much told me theres nothing I can do and I'm stuck with it. I really don't want this to be the rest of my life at 22. I'd appreciate any answers!
