Probably good idea to see a doctor to make sure there isn't anything that needs to be fixed.

I have had exrays a scan and fluid drawn out to be sure no,infection I guess next would be MRI? I see him end of this month. The thought of any surgery terrifies me this was the most horrible pain of anything I have gone through.

Yes I see him,on 24 I'm 9 months out this problem started about 4 months ago. So he thought I should go again to pt. Which has not helped the pain I cannot sleep on my side either of surgery. Be curious what we decide on the 24th. Sometime when I get up to walk my leg almost goes out from under me. Like its not hoongbto support me. I laughed when he told me I have small bones. I would have never thought that.will see this month just curious if any one had similar problems.

    Hi

Not sure what you did but bending down forwards is a no no even when you are further down the line.  Did you put one keg out behind before you bent down?  It will take time if you went straight down but should be ok but best to get checked out

      Julie,

Do you think we should not bend forwards after hip op, I do tend to do that, as I cannot bend very far when I bend my knees. I am 5 months post op.

I have been bending over since about four weeks post op as I am always dropping things although I do use my grabber if it is around being lazy. The physio said I could touch my toes if I wanted.

Good, because I automatically bend over without thinking, I did the day after op in the hospital and got a mild telling off.

I was told not to sit on a bench and shuffle along it, I suppose that can cause dislocation. I decided if it hurt don’t do it.

Hi, I’m suffering from the exact same pain you have & I just found out last week that it’s the IT Band, it won’t show up on mri unless you have a Mars Mri or a sonogram, I had a diagnostic test done two Friday’s ago & I thought it hurt before the test I was dead wrong, the diagnostic test angered the Band so much that I thought I was going to lose my mind from the pain, but it confirmed my new surgeons diagnosis. So, now I will have surgery to release the band, recovery then I can get back to my life, the life I haven’t  seen in almost a year! Good luck, hopefully your dr will listen to your symptoms & not throw you away as mine did.
