Hip replacement 4 weeks 4 days advice

Hi,

I'm 38 and had a THR 4 weeks and 4 days ago. I am walking ok albeit slowly without sticks. Only issues I have is stiffness in the leg mainly thigh and back of the knee and still some swelling in the foot. I have noticed a clicking sensation near the wound and a bit of soreness at the top of my leg leading into the joint. Nothing bad just a bit sore from time to time.

I think I am after a bit of reassurance that this is all normal and things are progressing well ? are my symptoms normal for 4 weeks 4 days after operation

thanks

Sorry people, didn't want to cause a fight. Just wanted a bit advice. I'm stiff and a bit sore but after only 4 and a half weeks I suppose this is normal. I can manage fine around the house without sticks the clicking apparently the porcelain hip and the tendons ? its apparently normal. it's just about confidence and fear! fear of doing the wrong thing and confidence to believe I am getting better !

    thanks everyone

I read my after op notes which did mention about the clicking...was said it's just the new joint settling in .

you will be due for your 6 week review soon mention it to your surgeon when you see them.

I imagine the soreness will be the muscel they cut through.

thanks so much, I was out on a walk yesterday and out shopping today and it clicks but settles when I've walked for a while !! it's just lovely to be able to walk around without limping or without the horrific pre op pain !
