Hip replacement

hi iv had a hip replacement 5 weeks ago but still not feeling great as when I Sit down its feels really uncomfortable and there lots of pain that does down my leg.Its 5 weeks now but I'm worried I'm not healing well.

    You have had major surgery and your hip will take time to heal. They reckon it can take a year for things to really get back to normal.

    Post one is spot on, its been a year now since I had bilateral replacement (8 weeks apart )....LHR was text book, but I rushed it a bit with my RHR and ended up with bruising down to my ankle nearly....

    After both ops it felt like I was sitting on a golf ball...but both are brilliant now, there's no rush and people's body's repair at different speeds.

    You'll be fine I'm sure....plenty of rest and exercises finely balanced worked for me, but everyone's different.

    Stay positive and try and get as much sleep as possible...
