Hello Mandy.... First I would like to wish you all that you need to help you thru this journey to a better quality of life and mobility. Keep us posted on how surgery went.
Chairs and seating is higher than the height of standard chairs are now. So a few pillows in a good solid chair is helpful to establish height while sitting and rising from the chair. After THR seats are higher in order not to bend past the restrictions after surgery for at least 6 weeks. The surgeon will have a booklet or a class to go over the seating restrictions as well as other precautions and many help aides to help you put your socks on, a riser for the commode and a walker, along with exercises to keep you healthy and pain free. The best help is to have a lot of ice on hand to help you for the first few days.
To answer your question, I don't think anyone could assume how high the new bed is , or your height without more information. You may have to find a different frame temporarily if the mattress is way to high.
