hip replacement

I had my hip replace 15 months ago and sometimes my thigh muscle hurts really bad. I will just be walking along and all of a sudden it gets really tight and I can hardly walk. I had my other hip replace in Aug. 2021 and that one is doing great. Different surgeons, different approach. My first one was done by an older Dr. who retired before I could get my one done. Kind of glad because my recovery for this one is way better. I truly believe that the Dr. did something wrong. What should I do?

Lots of nerves and muscles and tissue get disrupted in surgery ... I'd go to physical therapy. I had quad problems like you're reporting about a year after my surgery.

Quad and glute exercises fixed the problem, which as I'm sure is the case with you, was shocking and scary.

Might need to call up your surgeon and get a new X-ray just to check. I got my surgeon to rule out a device problem, then went to work with PT. Surgeon can give you a script for PT. But first start with a surgeon checkup.
