There is plenty of information re the best positions etc if you search on line.

A hip replacement does not mean that you cannot have sex

Most of us only abstained for 6 weeks or so, I would think you are fine.

    Have a great wedding day

    Hi there

I am sorry to hear you are so young having had a hip replacement. At 45 i thought i was young lol.

Most definitely you can have sex, you will probably find its not as painful and that you can do more. My surgeon said to me there were no restrictions with positions and basically to listen to my body.

Follow your hip precautions until they are lifted. Google safe sex positions for someone who has had a hip replacement.

I can understand feeling anxious and being cautious to begin with.

Sorry but this looks a bit like a troll to me! How about discussing your concerns with your surgeon. As you will be aware there are many positions you can choose for having sexual intercourse...just try them out and see how you feel. Enjoy. Cheers, Richard

    Hi there

i asked the same question after my hip op and was told at least six weeks. But im told that it depends on what kind of op you had...ie the positioning of the incision. best to have a word with your doctor.

    Good luck for your wedding!

    Hi Sana,

it's usually 6 wks after surgery but check with your Dr. Sex after surgery was worth the surgery.

Keep us posted. Congrats on the wedding.
